Real-time Ruby/Emerald Bicolor™
output:
The Proteus Mind Machine includes two
independent color channels, each of which has its own
brightness and pulse rate. This means that Proteus sessions
can shift smoothly between up to 4,096 colors in real time,
creating extraordinary visuals and mapping colors more
precisely to states of consciousness. For example, lower
frequencies can be set to soothing green, while higher,
energizing frequencies are the appropriate red; the “peak
performance” color amber lies in between.
Totally Programmable:
You can control the entire Proteus
Mind Machine experience with the available ProtEd2 Session
Editing Software Ver 2.3. This software is simple to
use, yet it is a very powerful Windows-based programming
tool, available Free of Charge via download.
Totally Upgradeable:
The Proteus Mind Machine uses advanced
Flash memory for both session and operating system data.
This means you can download new session groups and upgrade
the entire operating system as well.
Recent upgrades include such
advanced features as wavetable crossfading; dual binaural
beats; BioConnect™ real-time biofeedback
control.
The BioConnect (tm) feature allows the
ThoughtStream Biofeedback Machine to interface with and
control the Proteus Mind Machine.
Wavetable Audio:
The Proteus Mind Machine includes stereo
audio converters enabling production of binaural beats and
other waveforms. You can store up to four different
waveforms in the Proteus Mind machine, and we include a
FREE audio waveform editor with every system sold.
Enhanced
AudioStrobe
decoder:
included.
The Proteus Mind Machine has fine-tuned
AudioStrobe
decoder circuitry, providing a much crisper, and intense
experience.
The AudioStrobe® decoder
circuit detects a special, inaudible signal encoded on
compact discs. This signal drives the Lightframes directly,
allowing precise synchronization between the audio and the
light show.

100 Program Capacity:
The Proteus Mind Machine ships with
enhanced versions of the original Orion sessions, together
with a mix of the "best" programs from our other systems.
The Proteus has a total of fifty
sessions preloaded when you receive it.
The Proteus Mind Machine can hold up to 100 programs in
nonvolatile memory, as much as machines costing nearly twice
as much. In fact, it does more than many machines in the
$300-$400 category yet is much more compact (no heavy metal
cabinet), lightweight, and attractive.
